The International Fruit & Vegetable Fair, Sifel Maroc, which was held for the fifth time in Agadir on 6-9 December 2007, has proved to be a great success, according to the International Exhibitions & Conferences report. The event was supported by Apefel, the Moroccan Association of Fruit and Vegetable Producers and Exporters.
Among the factors behind the success of the event were the huge facilities where it was held, which boasted an exhibition area of 22,500 square metres, an increase of 26% on the previous Fair. The stands covered an area of 10,660 square metres, and of the 400 exhibitors, 200 came from outside Morocco. 16 countries were represented, ranging from Germany and Spain to Chile and Tunisia.
This year, the organisation of the event included some innovative features, such as a bar code in the exhibitors’ credentials and the use of flat screens to show the presentation ceremony.
